Are these mirror set into the tile or surface mounted?

they are surface mounted. And I think that's a wallpaper

yes... the tile installer got our specifications for the desired mirror size, he then created a 'space' with a metal edge for the mirror while he installed the tiles...after installation, the mirror installer came to template, then the mirror was installed and then the electrician installed the lights which had also been pre-determined.

So, Evelyn, the mirrors are flush with the tile? Or do they set in just a bit so you can see the metal trim (Schluter?)? I am fascinated by this! Also, is the cabinetry custom-made? Lovely!

The mirrors are flush with the tile..the area was blocked off as the tiles were installed and then installed into the blank area when the tiles were complete..the cabinetry was custom made be the cabinet maker on the project.
