Closet design for attic remodel

last modified: 9 years ago

I'm looking to do a gut renovation of the upstairs (attic) of my story and a half bungalow which is used for my bedroom and general storage.

I'd like to get help coming up with creative storage design solutions using the knee walls and sloped ceilings to their advantage. Storage is a problem in general since my home doesn't have a basement. The space is only 450 sq feet and I'm not changing the footprint at all, so it seems to me that spending $5K on an architect is overkill. Closet companies don't do this kind of custom design, nor do contractors and quotes I got from Design Build firms were crazy expensive.

Any suggestions on where I can go to have someone come up with closet designs for my space? It seems there should be a middle of the road service between nothing and an architect out there.

Thank you!
