Carpet selection help

last modified: 9 years ago

We are wrapping up an addition which expanded the kitchen and created a mudroom downstairs and gave us a large walk-in closet upstairs. We splurged on the closet cabinetry using the same cabinet maker we used for the kitchen, used stained cherry and took them to the 9' ceiling. Walls are SW Rainwashed, trim SW super white. Quartz is a new LG Viatera pattern called Aura. The open spot in the island is for an Electrolux glass door fridge. The desk/vanity has some 12" deep side cabinets to be installed still that will sit on the counter, so that's not quite done yet.

Most of the house is original wood flooring, for the closet we are going to carpet it partly due to comfort, partly due to cost, and partly because its easy.

Counters close up.

Shot from adjoining master bedroom, walls are SW Maison Blanche and SW High Tea

Was thinking of using a patterned "greige" or taupe carpet

Something like one of these? Tuftex Taza in misty dawn (top) or plaza taupe (bottom)

Carpet guy coming tomorrow with samples and to measure.

Thanks in advance.
