I like it. You might want to put something with a pop of color on the wall when you're ready.

There isn't much of a wall - its all windows with shutters.

How about Bennington Gray by BM? I leams more towards khaki and might work better. I haven't tried a sample yet.

Looks nice but Bennington gray would work too. My entire first floor is Bennington gray and it changes in the light from warm to cool. It kinda goes with everything

I cannot tell you what this paint color might be but it's to demonstrate a color next to your marble backsplash & your first photo. BTW you really can't make a determination about your paint without applying enough to actually color the wall and not be influenced by the color beneath it.

Thanks Beverly! Never thought of putting art in that area - makes a big difference. I actually have drapes in that area and have been moved to the side. The color I used is perfect Griege. I am leaning towards Acessible Beige as it might work better with the brown undertones. Thoughts? I just don't want any blue/purple/pink undertones.

Here are some more pics on how my kitchen / living currently looks. We have an open floor plan. I am just trying to get rid of the yellowish tones and move towards greige but more towards beige to make it work with the browns in my house.

I think your kitchen looks great the way it is. You have a lovely home. The cabinets and the tile have very slight yellowish tones and that is why the existing beige paint was chosen which yes, has a slight yellow tone in it.

Yellows are used in kitchens because they are warm and energetic. Even when it is very subtle as it is in your kitchen. If we are anxious or nervous we may turn to grey to feel calm, which is quite an extreme way to do it as it can be draining without any support. It may evoke a lack of confidence, fear of exposure, hiding. There are better colours that support the emotions without draining or straining a person’s energy. In the end though, it is your home and your choice!

The beams are a soft ash tone. They are attractive without demanding attention. If they are stained darker, they will attract attention because of the contrast. The 3 dark bronze over-counter lights are beautiful. Let them get the attention. Save your money for housewares and accessories in colors you love. Keep the attention in the human plane.
