Depending on how it's laid out and how it's secured to the foundation, it could be quite unique and interesting.

For something that was developed during World War I, if it were a good thing I think we would see a lot more of them. The best advice can be summed up in one word, "NO".

to be a vacation home in NC. actually there are quite a lot of quonset homes out there. i like the uniqueness of the design, the structure cost is low, and does not require a large construction crew. resale will be my children's problem (joke.)

That ain't no Quonset. Far far from it. That is a million dollar modern home with all of the expensive minimalist detailing that goes into modern.
