My friend from elsewhere remarked how startled he was to be eating at a nice restaurant in Phoenix when a thunderstorm came. The diners got up and ran to the windows as if they were four years old and it was snowing.

You get a storm in Arizona and it's dramatic--- not like someone turned on a tepid shower like some places.

Love the summer rains! Can't wait till the Monsoon sets in here. The trees and plants around the valley could use a few good soakings.

ernie come on up houses here are pretty inexpensive. Jobs are not plentiful but only about 4 traffic lights and no crime to speak of. Our corn- fest will be the 3rd weekend in July so stop on by. You can google it "Camp Verde Corn-fest"

PS we are about 10 deg. cooler than down south.

Good for you Mary... stay away from the Verde lakes area (no lake) everywhere else is great. Its safe but value is just not there.

wanted to add go to Montezuma reality ask for Doby she's the broker she is diffidently the best that I have seen here. Been here for years knows everyone etc. tell her I sent you. Connie Call Highline Lane.... per Doby "our yard is the best yard around" She is above the rest! Only found one other that met my criteria that was in Cal. She is sharp.

Thanks Connie, I'll contact Doby for some info. We drove up there yesterday and puttered around Salt Mine Road and the streets around it. There certainly is a mix of high-end large properties and then run down trailers, all mixed together. We had the dog with us and he became problematic so we called it a day a bit early.
