Been over-dosing on salads as we over-planted lettuces this year but only have a few heads of Romaine left. But not much to add to the salads except for green onions and herbs. The spinach and radishes bolted so quickly with the weird weather than only got a few.

Have roasted 8-10 cowhorn peppers but they won't really kick in for another month. Tomatoes are starting to ripen a few at a time so we did get 1 meal of BLT's with fresh lettuce. And so are the cukes and yellow summer squash. Cabbage is looking good and we planted quite a bit of red cabbage this year too for apple and red cabbage kraut. Onions are bulbing up nicely and will be digging the rest of the potatoes this week.

Green bush beans went gang-busters on me this year so have had several meals of green beans and new potatoes and have canned 22 pints and frozen another 12-15 pints of the beans.

Not much ready here in Northern Michigan, but I've managed to get a couple of meals of asparagus, two cuttings of rhubarb, some lettuce and baby kale and the first pak choi, a couple of quarts of sour cherries. Some herbs, of course, but since they are perennials, it's not quite the same.

Eating and freezing Gailan and Senposai, two greens that have completely replaced broccoli and chard respectively in my gardens and my kitchen--both tastier, and freeze better. Blueberries coming in too.
