It's a personal preference, but I feel like I've seen #1 over and over again. And #3 just tries too hard. I like glass tile, but I'm also feeling like I've reached the end of it. You've chosen such classic cabinets and counters. Have you looked a site like Heritage Tile to get more ideas? Heritage Tile They're really easy to work with. They have great stuff. (I used tiles from the Japanese Tile collection. Mixed them in with some stock DAL crackle subway tile, as well as some Porcelanosa).

That may be why I am so hesitant. Thanks for the suggesting, I'll check it out.

I agree with Cali Homeowner but I really like the second one with the cabinet finish you've chosen. It hasn't been done to death like the first one and the ultra modern look just doesn't go with stained cabinets. It also looks like it'd be most expensive and a pain to keep clean.

I don't have anything against glass, but I think you'd want a solid color so that your quartz counters (and their nice veining) will be the star of the kitchen. I quite like your third sample, which would bring some pizzaz, but I'd need to see it next to a sample of your counter -- if the grays harmonize, I think that would really be neat! Would bridge the classic finishes to the modern feel without adding busy-ness or competing.

You need to wait until your counters are installed.

Then put your samples vertically as they would be on your walls and then show us pictures.

No need to make this very important decision before the facts are in.

Those are not the only tiles in the world. Personally, I'm not crazy about any of them.

Your quartz looks nice. Are you planning for under cabinet lighting?

Love the second choice. I wanted that for my kitchen but I'd already committed to a countertop that would not have worked with it. I did do mosaic and I do love it but think your second choice is amazing.

@Daren M The Heritage Tile subway line is second to none. It's very high quality, and there's nothing like it at the big box stores. Ditto that with all of their products.

@simstress Yes, we had LED strips installed on the underside of the boxes on the back of the frame instead of directly to the underside. We found with our old house, having them mounted to the bottom with Absolute Black granite was a bad idea. The granite acted like a mirror and you could see the lights. We may not have as much of a reflection with the white quartz, but didn't want to chance it.

A solid color would be gorgeous with the slab you've picked for your coutertop.

Don't do anything until you have counter installed and bring home samples and see them in "your" situation/lighting etc. etc. Personally I think those tiles will be too dark.

Counters are in and looks like we are going with this tile. It does not show up in pictures as well as it does in person but the back ground color is silvery blue and the darker is a chocolate that matches our cabinets.

Looks good! Glad you picked the less busy tile. It's really a lot easier to chose when the counters are actually in.

@Angel 18432 I'm 50/50 on that too. I wanted it to come out only as far as the cabinets but got over ruled. I got my way on the counters so I gave in on that.

Yea, I know - it's a give and take. It still looks lovely.
