Hi, I'm very new to sewing and I'm trying to do a
small hem. See picture attached please. I think it's called a double
hem and it is on a very thin fabric; you can see completely through it
if you put it against the light. It's a 100% polyester. There are
probably different ways to do this and I'm trying to find the easiest
one. I saw some videos online and some people mention buying a walking
foot for thin fabrics and knits. Others mention a hemmer foot and a
straight stitch needle plate to do this kind of hem. I have a Bernina
1008 and I'm leaning towards buying the plate and hemmer foot #63. Does
anyone have any advice for me? I would really appreciate it.
