Facade Fiasco!

Hi friends.

I really need some input. We are renovating this home (see pics) and are trying to decide how to paint or reinvent the unique architectural arches over the windows on the home. They are painted a strong blue, as you can see, to match the shutters, and it does NOT work. The arches look superimposed and out of place. However, they are actually tied into the roof, and we decided removing them is not a good option. So, how can we make this work?

Current ideas: painting the trim along the roof and the arches the same slate grey (by Restoration Hardware)to match grout and offset the warm tones of the brick and also tie the arches in with the trim. Shutters would be a glossy black to match the front door, which will also be a glossy black.

Another idea is to just paint the slate grey along the house trim and along the edges of the arch and put black in the centers to match shutters. AND attach an architectural element painted the same color(a medallion of some sort) in the center to make the flat space visually interesting.

Finally, we could reverse the color and put the slate grey in the center of the arch and the black along the outside edge. OR....please help! P.S. It has been suggested to paint the entire house, but we have decided against doing so at this time. Thank you so much for your thoughts/advice.
