Cute house, congratulations! Adding more substantial columns to the front porch would make a vast difference—it's very top heavy right now. Aside from that, paint the exterior, remove the old shrubs, and put in some new foundation plantings.

Are those two front doors? Could you remove one? If not at least paint the main one a pretty color so it stands out.

Upgrade the columns like others suggested. Also, put in a window where that vent is up top.

So sweet! Congratulations! Paint is a long personal idea quest.. I don't want to sway you, you be you! But this house can use some of the advice above for sure. Love the attic window idea. I am not for heavy columns but sagging fix oh yes.. my crazy idea is to reinstall a door frame so the key unlocks in both directions. But yes, removing one door and allowing a "built in" type of bookshelf on the interior - or entry help like a bench, and a "trimmed exterior wood peice" thingy below a window would be great! If you can afford two screen doors and have them face each other like double doors and put a planter in the middle- that would be fast curb appeal. I am all about the yard.. my love. You should get going on that first. Stuff takes time to grow.. bushes, flowers, tall grasses.. etc. I would start now and get what you can get going a little at a time in growing season. I personally would border off the yard at the edge with a white fence or else just bushes or small trees.. I would take down the porch railing and feel the yard as a porch extension space.

There are 2 front doors which we are going to keep. The door on the right leads into a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. As this area is separate from the rest of the house, we are are considering using it for short-term rentals.

I like the suggestion of painting the main door a different color.

Maybe extend the railing across that door? And break off railing on the other side of porch with some planters? Maybe provide a tall lattice with roses or other easy as a climber in front of private door?
