what to add behind ?

I need some help adding a touch of something at the back side of this garden bed. Currently the lily turf in the front with some hostas, young hydrangeas in the center and orange daylilies on the right, and I will be adding more of the orange to the bare sapot on the left too.

I just need something to border the back side of this bed, especially since the hydrangeas go bare in the winter ! I don't want it completely boxed in, maybe just 3 or 4 ever greens that would look nice with this setup and not get too overpowering as well.

Hellebore is a great suggestion! They are evergreen and bloom from January/Feb. until April/May. Cut /sheer back in late December so the emerging flowers don't have to compete with the browning leaves. The only other time they need attention is in June, you may want to cut off some brown flower stalks. Be careful when handling. They can give you a rash if you have sensitive skin. Once they are happy, they reproduce like rabbits. They do very well under maple trees. Also, look into evergreen ferns like Autumn and Holly ferns. Prostrate yews would also be nice.
