I have a window above the bed so I'm curious where the mounting cleats are and or if it can be mounted anywhere blower than 3 feet? Thank you

    Hi Debbie,
The Maui King headboard does not have mounting cleats on the back of the headboard. It does however come with hardware to attach to the corresponding Maui side rails and Maui footboard. The headboard can also attach to a standard metal bed frame!

The legs of the headboard ship detached. This may help with your height requirement, if you choose to create your own mounting device to attach the headboard to the wall.

pic of back of headboard & legs? do the legs have predrilled holes for frame?

    Hello llmarchetti78,
The King headboard is 56 inches tall, and the legs do come with standard holes drilled for attaching to your metal frame. I do not have any photos of the back, it is a simple flat surface painted black.

any chance you can tell me the distance between the predrilled holes? i saw a review that a standard frame did not fit and I'm wondering why?

The pre-drilled holes are 2.5 inches apart. It's a standard distance for most frames. However, if yours doesn't match it, you can easily make holes to match your frame if you have a drill.

actually I meant between the left side of the bed & the right side? should be 80" for a king?

The distance from the center of the hole on the left side to the center of the hole on the right side is 76.5 inches. Please let us know if you need additional information and we will be glad to help :)
