Possible Causes/Procedure
1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure
the pump is running.
4. Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. If the above does not correct the problem, go to step 7.
7. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
8. Replace the pump.

Be sure you're not using too much HE Detergent causing too much suds. There should be like no suds at all, something like this...during the wash cycle.

Sd means there are too many suds. I have had the same problem before I got wise about the amounts of detergent I was using. I stopped the cycle, did a drain and spin, and then a rinse and spin. If there are too many suds the machine will add water hoping to dilute them, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Just one comment about the drain pump filter - Whirlpool washers typically don't have an access door to the filter, and must be partially disassembled to get to it. If the suds clearing up doesn't solve the issue then you might need to call in a technician to clear the drain pump filter.
