Something NEW??? Mas Detergent (for COLOR)

last modified: 9 years ago

I just picked it up at Big Lots...

I've never seen this before so it's new to me...MAS COLOR liquid detergent.

The scent reminds me of the old liquid Dynamo detergent scent.

OK people, has anyone used this?

Mama...I figured for black khaki's and color dress shirts that don't get (if any) food or grunge on them that is would be more gentle to colors.

Hehehe...I don't know when I'll get to it as I have so many other color detergents to get through.

EDIT ADD: The bottle TOTALLY caught my eye...the white with the bright RAINBOW colors had me putting it in my cart before I even smelt it or looked at the back.

This has been out a while and is made for the Latin market. It is NOT intended, or made for front loaders. I do not know how sudsy it is, but knowing it is for top loaders would scare the he*l outta me :)

Can you tell us the exact ingredients. I can't read all of them from the back of the bottle.

Walmart carries Mas For Darks but no longer stocks Mas Colors. Same bottle design as Purex.

This is the same as the bottle I think and from the web site. It does have a little cellulase.

Hi George! Before I found Tide purclean I was using Mas for darks on my clothing (I wear lots of darks) , I liked it, have never seen the color one for sale anywhere down here my way, though. It had a nice , mild, clean scent too and was only 5$. I don't think it would be strong enough for kids clothes or heavier soiled loads, but for my clothes it was fine.

I think the newer bottles are labeled HE, George. And this stuff is made by Dial-Henkel , aka Persil and Purex. What's interesting about Mas for Darks is they have added a tiny bit of black dye to the detergent, which I have no idea if it actually does anything, but it sure does make the detergent look weird.

I don't think the blue eye does anything to the clothes. The dye used is a typical dye family used to add color to the detergent but not clothes. If this is for colors I would have liked to see ingredients that limit dye transfer between various colors in a load. Purex for colors, Miele for colors, and Persil for colors contain these dye transfer inhibitors. On the other hand perhaps some of these ingredients in this detergent brighten colors but don't prevent fading.

One more thing. There is an asterisk after the phrase renews colors. Is there any other statement on the bottle that starts with an asterisk?

Lots of times a statement with an asterisk will be explained further if you follow the asterisk so that's why I am asking.

Best detergent I have used, The darks are amazing and, the good thing is, no phosphates.
