No sectional. A sofa and 2 chairs work better. I wouldn't put TV between windows. You can put it on the wall opposite the windows or the wall opposite the stairs.

Depending on which direction the LR window is facing, it may be difficult to watch TV with light shining in one's eyes. Have you put it there to try it out? Would you need to close any window treatment during the day when one is watching TV?

Depends on how you want your space set up. Will the entire space be used as a living room space? Did you buy furniture already?

A sofa and chairs (or even two sofas, depending on the size of the space) will give you more options to rearrange going forward than a sectional, which will likely lock you in to a layout. We made the switch for our main living room a year ago and have loved it.

Don't go automatic on the windows/light. It is NO PROBLEM for us--if there is no direct light coming in when you watch TV..or if the light wont' be SHINING on the TV from across the room go for it.

I would put the tv on a swivel stand and where the tv doesn't reflect light because it can damage the pixels.Best of luck!

I show a lot of homes where the tv is mounted on the center of a wall.I think that idea should be for a basement,but the swivel option is great.
