Summer laundry day

Hi everone

We are finaly having some summer and after all the rain and pollen I can finaly use my rotary dryer from Brabantia. It is I think 7 or 8 years old, got a replacement after the first one collapsed full with wet laundry. They were very helpful at Brabantia.

Pic downbelow show it with some clothes on in last week

We are haveing abit of a rough time here. My partners mom and dad came to visit in mid June and his dad became ill, he had bad stomace pains and did throw up, after 2 days here they went home and on monday they contacted their doctor, he sent them to the ER and with IV fluids and painmeds they were gonna check on the next day but before lunch on tuesday he was in surgery for tvisted intestines, big operation and he is sill not himself. During this they found something on the xray of his lungs and are going back for further invetigation of that and if this is not all he is underoing test for allzimers in august.

One our friends became sick in februari and over the next 2 months he lost over a 100 pounds and hia doctor were sending him on different test bust it was takeing to long. One day him and I were at a friend of his and he collapsed, ambulace to ER and a week in hospital. He were sent home and a week and a half later he were to se the doctor to get his diagnosis, I was with him and by this time he was really sick, he neded to be in bed. His blodcount was so low so he was admitted again. He is suffering from cancer in the esophagus just abive the stomace and it has spread to some lymfnodes. He has had 5 days of radiation now and will be getting cemo to. It can not be operated on just shrunk and monitored with medication, the prognosis of this cancer is very very very bad :-(

Sorry about all of this just needed to write, am supporting him alot now and his girlfriend of 12 years, its hard but I yet again learned I am stronger than I think.

All the best to you all and god bless // Björn

    Linus,

Sorry for all the sad news! There is a saying "God never gives you more than you handle!". Take care of your self during this time. It can be very difficult taking care of so many who need your help!

Happy laundry day. Your whites look so bright in the sun!

SO sorry Björn. This is very sad, even if the laundry looks lovely. My mother in law in Stockholm had this surgery for twisted intestines too, and they also found bad things. Is this some epidemic in Sverige? :( HUGS!!

I'm so sorry for your friends. You are a real treasure. They are blessed to have you in their lives, and difficult times can be a blessing for us too. You and you friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

Do you like that type of laundry clothesline? I want to get a line installed and that one looks easy. I'd have to install a receptacle in the ground with concrete. Do you have a brand you recommend? I might be able to find it on amazon.

Thank you all for the kind words and prayers, It mean's alot. Today started witha phonecall from my friends girlfriend, she were beside her self with worry because he waned to drive his car full of 2 kinds of morfine, luckaly I talked him out of it and are going to him friday to help him go for tests, farmacy and hospital. It is an tansition time , an inbetween time and I can only do my best to make it as good as possible.

Larsi: I do not know about any epidemic but strange of 2 of the same........

Enduring: yes the clothes line if fine and easy to install, just hammer down a ground anchor and put the umbrella style clothesdryer up. I am gonna do a another type when this needs replaceing due to I wanna dry my sheets without folding them. On this one I can not because the lines are to short.

    Thank you all again

Ps: been a busy laundry day here , 5 loads dry outside, some folded, some pressed, so nice.

    Love Björn

    Enduring,

I have a model similar to this one from Brabantia. I purchased it from Amazon a few years ago and have not installed it yet.

Enduring the Amish in Lancaster Pa. make a version of the umbrella line that is indestructible. They can also make it so you can turn it and you stand in one place to hang your laundry. I bet Indiana has the same umbrella laundry line.

Thanks for the info homepro and hmorton. Hmorton, I live in Iowa not Indiana. There are a few Amish communities but not near me. I'd probably order on line rather than seek a regional source.

Enduring yes I didn't mean to go buy one just to look at one on line and order it only if you liked the structure. Actually from what I have seen of both you and your husbands handiwork I bet you could create a beautiful and extremely functional one if you chose to make one.

I have seen disused ones holding hanging baskets, vines and fairy lights.
