I understand about the brick arches. I stare at the 70s house across the street from me every day. It has 3 large ones with basket weave pattern inside... BUT.. have you thought about having the brick wall with the entry arch removed? It would go a long way to making your house look more modern; you could deflect interest in the arches in the front with some strategic landscaping.

Seems like there would be enough brick from the demolition to patch the new corners.

Yes @gustaviatex! We have thought about knocking down that wall and putting up a horizontal cedar slat wall instead. Thanks for the suggestion!
