Buffet decor...how many candlesticks?

I am still looking for some sculptural artwork for the middle, and maybe a decorative tray. Which candlestick option looks best?

I kind of like the simplicity of the first option, but I imagine it seems that the grouping of three is a more commin style choice.

Thanks!

I like group of three! Really like the lamps, too.

None. To me, candles with 2 lamps in close proximity are redundant. If you want to create a more varied vignette, you might try some lower objets.

    The picture seems awfully low.

I would either get some skinny candlesticks and do two on one side or one on the other or leave it with just the lamps. I love your art, lamps and buffet! Beautiful room!

    Either candles OR lamps--not BOTH.

Of the three, the middle one. I would try a low wide bowl and no candlesticks.

A have about 70 candlesticks that I display on one piece, but they are the only things on it.

Love your lamps -- I would ditch the candlesticks all together. Your lamps should "shine" and with the candlesticks they don't so much. The picture, the lamps and the art that you're looking for would be fantastic. Sometimes less is more (a lesson that I took a long time learning!)

I agree that candlesticks are redundant with the lamps. Go with something else bowl, vase, pitcher, or combination of objects.

Yep, candles and lamps seem redundant. Just lamps pls.

No candlesticks (I don't think they coordinate well with the art and gorgeous lamps). A long low dark wood bowl, with either nothing or the (gasp, dreaded) balls. It will anchor and echo the beautiful artwork.

Love everything except the candlesticks. Agree with others to use a bowl or something low, maybe in one of the colors in the artwork. Great artwork.

Thanks for th excellent feedback! I am thinking no candelsticks is best....must be why none of the options looked right. I was playing around with a pair of the shortest ones, but I don't love it. I really like the idea of one long and low piece in the middle by itself.

No to the candlesticks. The only other thing I'd add is an oval shaped, shallow bowl/dish. The painting is lovely and doesn't need the distraction of smaller items.

If this is in your dining room, a pretty tray would be nice.

I agree with everyone with ditching the candlesticks. And I agree there may be something better to add to the sideboard, but you don't need to find that extra something now. My thinking is you have to buy certain foundational items for each room. After that, the accessories and art come in their own sweet time. No need to force a "vignette." Your foundation is beautiful- the sideboard, lamps art. None of the accessories you have posted- the candlesticks or white ceramics are worthy of your dining room so far.

I agree with Rita - you should not force a vignette - it will happen on its own in time. I would just appreciate the blank space for now. It doesn't look right to be me have something in front of your art.

As for candlesticks, we almost always sell them in threes, all different heights, but rarely in pairs, although I have just pairs of candlesticks myself - just not with lamps.

I also agree with everyone..but sometimes people need candlesticks(even though then yes it'd probably be a pair..but some have a lot)..how am I to know that's not a case here?

(my candlesticks look really frivolous..)) I love them too much though. They remind me of one fine day with my family in Boston(where I bought them. strolling on Newbury Street lol. They're in the kitchen)

It's hard to answer some things about arrangements since we don't know in advance whether the thing is meaningful or not yet.

Otherwise couldn't agree more on not forcing a vignette and not hurrying with art etc
