We all have problems and some varieties are more easily attacked than others. Just so you don't feel left out.....

in my adrian MI ... we went thru 8 weeks of drought.. and the last 2 weeks 90 plus temps ... in C.. thats real freaking hot ...

all hosta tours are in late may.. or june.. because.. by july ... frankly.. they can start looking carpy .... depending at what ma nature throws at us ...

white center tissue serve no purpose.. as there is no chlorophyll to feed the plant ... and it isnt as efficient in pumping water .. so it is very common.. that it MELTS OUT ... like garys first pic ...

were you in the MI drought???

lol are you laughing at my owls? lol dont they work? the drought no we have had excessive rain and in midland they had severe flooding, my son did a few jobs there cleaning up the mess and what a mess it was! He's heading back to wyotech in august:)

oh how do I find out about the tours? I have a lady that I buy hostas from and her Hosta beds are beautiful! I could spend all day there, she belongs to hosta society or club of some kind. Her and her husband are very dedicated to hostas thats who sold me Ann Kulpa, she also told me that hosta was around 2000.00 when it was first put up for sale. thanks Ken for all the help I appreciate it.

Im in Birch Run MI, Hidden lakes garden, ok I will try to find out more on line. Ya my owls I know but I dont have anywhere else to put them um maybe on top of the hose container. Cant really strap them to the fence any advice is always welcome. How do you keep your plant tag names from winter damage that is a real prob. for me....:)
