Whats wrong with my peaches? I've cut into them and the pit is clean so that rules out curculio. Another forum talked about fruit flies....?

As you can see in the picture there is some leaf damage (holes) on the tree as well. We had hail while the fruits were very small and that Damaged some garden plants (might explain the leaf damage. But the fruit?) or would birds peck at small green fruit? As I inspected the tree all the spots seem to be on the side of the fruit that faces out, the underside is clean.

any ideas ??
