We just started the class and plan to build a rain garden 15' feet away from the side of the house. The water will be collected off the roof via downspout and directed into the rain garden from the front and the back of house using a buried pvc pipe. The garden will be part sun/shade and on sandy soil. The percolation test took 50 minutes to drain the 18" hole. Our roof is approximately 1000 sqft and we will have a 200 sqft garden.
