Drying Lemon Verbena

I know many methods to dry lemon verbena but I would like to know if anyone can tell me how to keep it flat during the drying process.

I used to just cut the leaves off of the stem, let them fall onto a clean cookie sheet, put them in my oven (no did not turn it on, pilot is always lit) and in a few days, maybe a week, they would be dry. I would turn them so they dried nicely. But curly!

In the past I didn't care, I would crumble them up and put them in glass jars and spoon out what I wanted. Kind of like flakes. But it is easier to use whole leaves in my tea than it is for me to use flakes.

And this year, my LV went nuts. There are a lot of leaves to harvest so I thought I would ask.

Any suggestions? Rosie
