I did not end up using it, but still wonder if I should have! I was skeptical being that it is a fairly new product, and that I couldn't find any information or anyone who used them. I loved the look of their quartz "waterfall". I ended up using Silestone Calcutta gold, which I thought was similar and had found many people had used it with positive reviews.

Melanie, thank you for the response! The Calcutta Gold is lovely too. Of the slabs I saw "the veins" were thicker then Waterfall but it's still on my list. If you have any pictures to share I'd love to see your finished project. Thanks again! Wendy

Melanie, those are the same two choices I have as well! For my kitchen, the Silestone Calacutta Gold is 45% more than the Alleanza Waterfall. How are you liking the Calacutta Gold?

Hi - I thought I’d write in case anyone finds this in a search. We installed Alleanza quartz in black slate, and it’s a nightmare. Maybe it’s just because it’s black? It’s impossible to clean. It constantly looks dirty. Anything leaves a smudge. I regret using it so much. And I’m the least picky person I know!

This is after it’s been cleaned as best as it can. :(

I also installed Black Slate and I am having the same problem as Becky2010. Their website claims that their superior process provides a denser finish which significantly reduces maintenance - I have not found that to be true and am truly dissatisfied with this product..

Is your black slate finish honed or suede (that's the way it looks in the photos). I have not used Alleanza but from experience I can tell you that honed or suede finish is more susceptible to marks, stains, streaks, etc. Also, it looks as if perhaps your fabricator did not finish off the stone correctly. Have you been in touch with your fabricator? What was his/her feedback?

How disappointing that the manufacturer didn't respond for their product. Unfortunately, several of the emerging quartz manufacturers have this practice of not taking responsibility. Yet, how good of you to make it public. The only way companies either change their business practices (or go out of business for not changing) is by public reviews that dissuade others from doing business with them. Don't know if you considered it but perhaps making a formal complaint with the BBB would get them to at least refund you the cost of having to replace the material? I'm sorry that you had that experience and want to Thank You for your feedback. A stone vendor was suggesting Alleanza instead of a brand I have worked with previously and I immediately went searching for reviews. As an Interior Designer who does a lot of kitchen renovations, this information is priceless for my clients. I will make certain to share this with friends in the industry. Perhaps together we can make Alleanza take notice (and responsibility) for unsatisfactory product and business practices.

this is useful. I am shopping for quartz countertop. I've used silestone and caesarstone before, but my fabricator also recommended Alleanza so of course i started searching for reviews. This is helpful to me. From the small sample I got for Alleanza, i thought it was just me that thought the finish was off a bit compared to the samples i have of silestone and caeserstone. i think i'll pass on Alleanza.

We purchased the alleanza in Naples which is white with a few grey spots and a month in we’re in love. Easy to clean and happy we went with it as it’s a brighter (but not sterile) white than others, and the grey veining is very subtle and refined imho, as we were a little afraid of the large vein trend passing too soon and preemptingso we preempted that regret (although it’s very cool looking too).

(Will definitely follow up here if we end up having any issues with it though!)

We will be using Alleanza Bianco Fantastico in our kitchen, completion later this month. Alleanza has a Lifetime Warranty, so I’m hopeful if there are issues, they will make it right. I fell in love with the slabs I saw in the local showroom. I will post photos and a review when the kitchen is completed, but here is the slab. The reason there is a copper cup in the photo is I have a copper vent hood :-) Stay tuned!

You could be right Joseph, but I disagree. There is definitely something different about the matte black Alleanza quartz that does not live up to the properties expected of a quartz product. While other finishes in Alleanza may be just fine, I have to say that I have first hand experience with black slate. I purchased this product for an office with confidence in both the manufacturer's claims and all the quartz "data" touted as nonporous and easy to maintain. I believed the matte finish would require me to clean it often, but never suspected that simple fingerprints would become permanent. Even my laptop placed on top of the desk surface left marks that could not be removed!! Initially we blamed the fabricator, and they tried several methods to remove these stains without success...and were baffled after three attempts to replace the quartz with the same results. It wasn't until I came out to houzz and and found Becky2010's thread, that I suspected the product, not the fabricator. In my opinion as a consumer these threads are very valuable to others looking for first hand experience with products.

@Kelly Johnson this is so helpful -- I'm looking at this quartz also. Do you find that it reads really white, or is there a little contrast between the countertop and the cabinets?

I have had such good experiences with polished granite for kitchen and bathroom counters that I have not ever considered using another stone. Years ago I had white Corian which was okay but not special. After that was replaced with granite, I never looked back. I’m not a pro, just an experienced homeowner who does her own designing. I’m lucky to have been referred to a good fabricator, too.

@Simona it is a nice contrast. Much deeper color than you can see in photos. We are still thrilled with our kitchen!

Beautiful cabinet/counter combo. I too would like to know the color of your cabinets as they almost look grey in the photos but I think they are a white? I am putting in Simply WHite Cabs which doesnt go with stone that is too cold or too white as it is a warmish white which is why I am asking...

I know this is an old thread but I’ve come here with a big warning abour this brand. The samples cannot be trusted. I’ve designed two bathrooms around a slab based on a sample of the Alleanza Caldia and what was just installed is not at all the same -it’s whiter and has less of the grey and cream tones that made it look so realistic. You can really see the difference on the edge.

Which quartz did you use Brooklyn_townhouse? Did you see a slab at a warehouse in NYC area beforehand or only the sample?

Yep. That’s what made me want it, the slab looked so real in person.

There was no way for to me to remedy it…it was sent directly to my local fabricator who cut it. I didn’t go see the slab, I (wrongly) assumed it would be a match to the sample. I am not sure it would have mattered anyway as at that point I had paid for shipping. When you order a quartz product you expect it to be consistent. That’s one of the main benefits!

I didn’t seek a remedy. It was shipped directly to my local fabricator and already cut at that point. There was nothing I could do. I had to design and repaint to work around it.
