It looks great now!! But I can understand the need for renewing the look of things! Perhaps you could give us some background information. Where is the pond - is it in your outdoor living space, therefore always in view? Does it have anything living in it - i think I can see a fish, but what about turtles or frogs? And most importantly, what don't you like about it at the moment?

Tuck in a few flowering plants for color, either in the ground or in pots.

Not sure exactly what you are looking for. But, to my eye, their is too much small stone used. Removing stacked small stones and replacing with one larger boulder in 2-3 places would make a huge difference.

I think it looks great--so natural looking! Looks just like the woodland pools we used to see in the mountains back home.
