Pool Cabana Design Question...

We are building a small pool cabana. Hope I can ask these questions without confusing anyone. We have an open area that is 24' across front by 12' on the side. the ceiling inside this is about 500 sf. It is hip roof so the roof rise under the open area is 16'. There will be a stand along bar that almost reaches the span of the structure under the over hang closest to the pool. SO, my questions are....
1) Does the ship lap we are planning to use, look too dark?
2) Would eyeball or recessed lighting work or would it not be enough light? We will also have one of those tropical dual fans with lights as well. if we did recessed lighting what is a rule of thumb of how many to have in 1 area?
3) With or without the eyeball lighting or recessed lights, would you put any pendant lighting over the bar too? I just didn't want to
Have too much going on. Less is more to me but at same token I want it to be bright enough at night to see.
4) Lastly, the wall where the TV will be, I'm trying to figure out what to put on it. Not sure if I should do some kind of plaster, tile, shakes?? so over whelming!
The pool house will match our personal home. Hardy plank will be a mossy green (SW Herbal Wash) and trim will be a beige (WE Divine White). Columns will be stacked stone (not sure of height yet) and the bar we may stone too. Not 100% sure on that either. Any help or suggestions will GREATLY be appreciated!!
