Design Dilemma Kitchens Storage & Closet

Countertop installed is 3/8" too short for cabinets

We just had a countertop installed and the countertop is 3/8" too short at the front of the cabinet because the cabinets were not square. Any suggestions on how to make it look better?

Why is there not a finished edge on the end where you're short? Even if it was 3/8" larger, it wouldn't be right unless you are building a narrow full height cabinet to sit up against it. Did you hire a professional or just pick up a prefab?

That is more than 3/8" short. That top should overhang the cabinet by at least an inch and the laminated end should have a bit of a radius where it overhangs the cabinet.

Put a 1/2" of drywall on the left wall and pull the top down some.

Call the contractor, and whoever did the TEMPLATE for the tops, unless this was a pre-fab. A laser template would have accounted for an out of square cabinet, which should have a one inch counter top overhang on that right side. What IS on the far left?
