Galley Kitchen Remodel Scottsdale 85254

This was a 1976 galley kitchen that was totally transformed into an open kitchen great-room concept. How gorgeous is this?

Wow, looks great! I can't believe how similar it is to our recent remodel of our galley kitchen [see pic]. Except yours is much bigger. Even the floor is similar! We are currently waiting on appliances and backsplash and then we're done :)

They missed the mark on two key items:

    1. When remodeling and the need arises to move a ceiling light, do it correctly. Swagging the light in the eating area looks and is cheap; opening the ceiling and relocating the box would have improved the look 10,000%. Doing it correctly would have not added much to the bottom line since electrical and drywall work was already being done at the other end of the kitchen when drop ceiling was removed. The chandelier is way too big for the low ceiling and is not at all in keeping with the simple cabinet design.

    2. The table and chairs look like something that one would find in a low end used furniture store. The wood color and "carved" chairs are just old and further detract from what could have been a nice update to a very dated kitchen.

You did great. I love all the storage, that bank of cabinets is fantastic! Getting that storage was worth swagging the light in order to move the table over.

We agree with deeners1 - they just haven't accessorized yet, and just need a bit more time to pull things together. We'd like to suggest [Fodeez Dry Erase Adhesive Frames[(https://www.houzz.com/products/adhesive-display-frames-8-piece-organization-collection-granite-beveled-prvw-vr~52967190) to warm up the stainless steel appliances with family photos and calendars for organization. We love the new look!

If this is supposed to be a sleek kitchen based on the hood, a slab door might have been a better choice. Is there a backsplash? It can be the wake up call.

Why has this been featured for the last 4 weeks, Houzz? I can't imagine there not being new remodels out there.

The grey cabinets look almost as old as the old ones. I don't know how this garbage is trending.
