The mirror is too wide to have floating shelves on either side of it, they would just look dinky. But there's no rule that you have to center the mirror on the buffet. Hang the mirror to one side and put a couple of shelves for your glasses next to it.

If I were you, I would store the glasses in the buffet to keep dust off, but do what makes you happy!

Great advice, this buffet is in the dining area next to my dining room table so I don't really want to make a full bar. I am leaning towards a tray of liquor and a few glasses.

However, not centering the mirror is something I didn't think about. I can put it off to one side and possibly have a few small floating shelves like the one pictured. Not sure of how to make this work.

Your buffet looks to have a curved front so I would go with a round mirror instead of the very geometric one you have chosen.

Have a look at this photo, and imagine your mirror on the left where they've got the beer word signs.

After much thought and great advice I returned the mirror and purchased a smaller round one. I definitely want some form of shelving so now I'm looking for ideas on how to incorporate a round mirror with some sort of shelving. Ideas and pictures are much appreciated !

Ok here is the take ! How much do you intend to be dusting each glass ? Me no way !! I have an idea for you perhaps you will like it or perhaps not but just the same here it is , put the mirror elsewhere and have a Cabinet maker build you a display like this one for your glasses the same width as your buffet and the same colour , you will save yourself a lot of work and moving around when doing your housework , I always try to avoid things if I can and this is one of it .

Thanks, that type of cabinet would help but I don't think it would look good in the area where the buffet table is. As many have mentioned dust is something that has me reconsidering floating shelves; I just need to find something that gives me that look without the dust...lol

Is that the only wall available in the room? Perhaps you could move things around and find a perfect place for your Bar .

I just thought of something its a bit unusual but it might work , Keep the glasses in the drawers ,you can line them with felt , then get a tray for the bottles and set up on the buffet like this here .
