I'm sure that all the big-box shops have off-white tile -- you're going to need to bring home some samples to be sure they play nicely with the cream and also your shade of gray counters. No specific recommendation for a Grimslov, although I sort of love the "Pearl" tile from Lowes, which is a bit taupe, if you want a little contrast.

HD has a nice gray called morning fog, if you end up heading more gray.

Both of these have a lot of character for the price.

Nice project! I like how you used the blind corner in the peninsula for storage. We did a grey Caesarstone with Grimslov. Which countertop material did you do?

Thank you Simstress! We used Caesarstone Symphony Gray which was backordered for 6 weeks...worth the wait though, it's so beautiful!! Is that what you have? And yes the blind corner storage is where we store our kitchenaid and bread maker since we don't use them that much...it's nice to have the storage though!

@hses thanks!! Hopefully this link works. If not google Lews Hardware bar pulls in brushed brass. These are the squared edge ones (they also have round) and they’re 7 inches long with 3 inches between where they’re screwed in on the cabinet.

I love your finished kitchen - it's beautiful! Did you do a built-in microwave with IKEA microwave cabinet? If so, which brand did you buy? And do you like it so far?

We went with a Samsung countertop microwave that was maybe around $100 and a custom trim kit from microtrim.com that cost less than $100... it looks great even though it’s design doesn’t allow the microwave to be flush with the cabinets.

Just to add, their competition, Trim kit USA, (who makes custom trim kits that are flush with the cabinets) I do not recommend due to a mean rude owner- she literally harassed me via email for not using them. And their trim kit itself was $550 plus $25 shipping which I was not expecting and we didn’t have that kind of budget.

Thanks for the info and the photo @nshaeffer! Yes we plan to do Grimlov cabinets in our kitchen in the next 6-12 months. I have been looking around for built in microwaves and the selection is pretty slim. I'm glad to know there are other options out there! How far out does your microwave stick out? In the photo it doesn't look like much. Is that dependant on the type of microwave you chose or just that company's trim kits? Thanks again!

@Christina Callaway yes I remember it was slim AND expensive to get a drawer microwave but just know you don’t have to use those, countertop microwaves are fine too for under cabinets!

Because of the design of the microtrim trim kit, the microwave has to stick out the width of the microwave door + 1/4 inch. It isn’t bad, doesn’t bother me one bit. Good luck!!
