PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hi all, Please help me with colours on our home. I'am at a complete stand still here.

Trim around windows will be an exact match to the new windows. New roof is brown. What suggestions for colour of shutters and front entrance door.

All the shutters must stay and won't be replacing door until next year.

A colour I like so far is BM whitall brown HC-69.

Should I just paint shutters a colour and do just the door.

I'am open to all ideas.

Shutters original purpose was to cover the entire window, I know they are used for decoration these days & the windows upstairs are okay. The large bay window could stand alone and I would remove those altogether. I would select a colour close to your roof which looks like shades of grey so take a look at a dark grey HC-168 or HC-167. I would leave the front door if you are going to replace it and I would blend the colour of the brick in with your garage doors, they don';t need to stand out. Look at CC-120 or CC-440 CC-366. Get some paint chips & hold them up in the daylight & try to get as close as possible to the shades of the brick, that way it will blend in. Good luck.

Your landscaping is beautiful....maybe a sandstone red to blend with the darkest or lightest stone trim on house and it would relate nicely to the lovely Japanese Maple?

So many people on Houzz will say not to use shutters unless they are sized correctly and have the right hardware. I would remove all the shutters.

To make sure that the brick and the house blend more, try painting the house a color in the brick. Perhaps try one of the lighter colors? Also you might want to remove the shutters.

Paint the siding and garage door to match the brick, or at least the most prominent colored brick. Remove the louvered shutters from all your contemporary windows. When budget allows, bring the porch roof on across the bank of 5 windows. In the meantime a pergola might work well over them and that could eliminate that ugly piece of trim board above them. You could do the same above the garage door. Larger porch and garage lanterns will make a big impact.
