which curtains and paint chair frames????

I am remodeling my LR. Right now I need help with 2 decisions. 1st which curtains. Right Ombre or left Ikat print? 2nd decision should I paint the chairs and If so what color? I plan on covering both with the teal chevron. Hoping to have enough fabric left to make sofa throw pillows too. I have lots of different finishes in the room ????? Help!

I like the Ikat print with the chevron. If the Ikat print comes in longer lenghts, I would hang them higher. Also, use the same fabrics for some pillows for your sectional to pull them all together. Maybe a nice piece of art with bold colors instead of the mirrors so that the space isn't so neutral. Also, I would remove the table between the chairs and go with something lower...maybe a garden stool...see attached. I know you only asked two questions...but I couldn't resist. Sorry :-)

Oh, your 2nd question...No, I wouldn't paint the chairs.

Ikat curtains. Paint the chairs a soft creamy yellow. Remove all the stuff from the blue round table and get larger lamp. Take away pillows on the chairs.

I also would not paint the chairs - I think they tie in with the other wood in your room. Agree on ikat curtains - longer if you can - hang near the ceiling.
I would be hesitant to use left over fabric for throw pillows - might get too matchy. I think I would stay with solids maybe something with texture (flokati) or metallic.

Curtains on left (Ikat), chairs I would paint a beige-white.

Another vote for the beautiful Ikat panels hung higher if longer length is available. Love he chevron fabric you have chosen. The garden seat above is a great find! Consider using it as a coffee table instead of the cube. I would like a small chest-like piece between your chairs to break up all the legginess. Enjoy your project:)

Thanks everyone. I too was leaning towards the Ikat. Unfortunately Target (even online) does not have them in the longer length:(

The ikat looks better for your room. If Target doesn't have it, I am sure you can find it somewhere else. Ikat is pretty popular these days. As for the stool, try grandinroad.com

I am going to be asking for more help, especially with the wall hanging behind these chairs, once I have time to lay out my collections. Sderico do you think the painted tea cart has a place in this room? I really to do hope so as I just painted it, lol! I can drop 1 or both sides and turn it another way, but the legs are still there.....

idea: If you want to keep the mirrors in the space, I like the idea of layering to provide interest and weight. Paint the mirrors boldly, arrange and fasten them on top of a cut out piece of something (plywood, but it might be heavy) and covered in a pretty printed fabric and hang it all on the wall as an artwork piece. The fabric can tie in with something else in the room, like pillows. Good luck

I like the JCPenney find myself. It is much more subtle. I agree that you need one more color in there to break up the blue, and like the suggestion of yellow.

PS. Looks like your beagles are already comfortable with your fabric choice. I love beagles!

Kelly I like the blue too, but I have a standard 90's box home with only 8' ceilings and no architectural details to this room so I'm not certain it would look well. Oh yeah, wall to wall carpet too :(
