Ah I have one that's even worse then that and it just looks so darn odd.. It's been like that for a month now.. Guess I'll add more light... When searching up answers things contradict another.. I've read where leaves could both mean too much or not enough light..

Try a fluorescent shoplight. 2 T12s. Hang above your plants in your isolation room. You would be amazed how well the plants react.

Yes, usually 3 or 4 days in a new brightly lit home does the trick for me. Mine from 3 weeks ago are almost all in one plane now.

Heather, the reason for the contradicting advice is that sometimes leaves will stretch up when there is too much light. Not usually, but I have seen it happen. The theory, one of many, is that the plant is attempting to protect the crown. Check the color of the leaves if in doubt. Leaves that are receiving too much light will often have a bleached-out color, while leaves that are not getting enough will be a darker green than normal. Since violets leaves can vary in the richness of their color, check your plants with photos on the inter-web and with the official AVSA registrations. And some variety's leaves never lie down. I once had a 'Starry Night Blue' that looked like it was in a perpetual wind tunnel.

Yup - Linda is correct - some are perpetually hugging the pot - and some are looking up. Your plant is sitting a little too low in a soil - and to some extent it just looks this way. Not that low that you need to repot. It is OK to leave it as is.

It is a little low. Maybe lifting it from the pot and adding some soil to the bottom might help.

Can you tell me how far the soil should be from the top rim of the pot? Will repot and wick after its done blooming.

Practically on the level with top rim and just under the lower leaves stems. You are not watering from the top - so you do not need to create a space for water.

Unless you are watering from the top (which I do about half the time).

after a few days with extra sun..its still standing straight up..guess that will be my odd ball
