I'm updating my 1979 front porch. I've replaced the 70's front door and ambler sidelights with a custom stained knotty elder door (before),

...fattened up the 3x5" posts to 6x8", painting them white.
MY QUESTION: WHAT COLOR SHOULD THE CONCRETE BE RE-PAINTED?
Now I've sanded down the loose, weathered and peeling concrete areas of paint that the previous owners had put down. I think I'm stuck with painting again because I don't want to remove all the paint--way more work than I'm up to (doing this myself!) Any recommendations on the color? Should I just match the dominant brick color (as previous owners did--sort of), or go darker to complement and tie in the door and darker bricks? Somewhere in between? Please help me polish this project off right!
