We just moved into our newly built 1700 sq ft ranch style golf villa in Florida. We are just about done buying our furniture - waiting for a sideboard from Crate and Barrel (in the pic will go where you can see blue tape). We are ready to buy an area rug for the great room that will add color and tie the room together. Walls are bare, but we have a large canvas on order for the wall behind gathering table, colors are muted greens, grays and red/orange, it is a photo we took of the Sacred way in China. The long wall behind the couch will have a collection of different size photos, most likely on long shelves, not sure if we will do black/whites or color.

Walls are SW Modern Grey, Accent wall for built in with shelves is SW Aleutian Blue, Flooring is ceramic wood look tile, Toscana Taupe, Sofa/Loveseat, leather Sahara, (we love this). Trim is Extra white. In future will replace light above gathering table. Side chair in sitting area is really more of a faded denim color. I picked up the 2 pillows, we love orange and I really would like to work Indigo blue into room as well. Coffee and side table are glass and metal (Liberty Furniture Avignon).

So, area rug colors, design suggestion? Artwork placement, furniture placement? Type of pole lamp?
