The lines are probably clogged. Call a septic engineer who can inspect using a camera. Good luck.

Gotta ask. If tank was pumped two days ago, a) how do you know it is now full with fluid to the top? and b) how did that amount of water (say 1000 gals) exit your home and make it to the tank in two days?

That's a lot of laundry, dish washing, and toilet flushes in two days!!!!

(Please adjust my 1000 gal up or down to suit.)

PS What did the Septic guys say when you called them?

ibl_19 posted that he/she had just called the septic company after 5pm on Friday. May not have gotten them out. Or they may have just come by to empty tank again until they can get maybe a back hoe or other equipment there on Monday. Always costs more on a weekend, plus everyone likes their weekends off if possible!

We've had septic and well problems through out the 40 years we have had them and if you can manage to make it thru the weekends you can save yourself up to $200 waiting until Monday.

Not fun, but it's nice to have great neighbors!

Had renters here so have no idea how it filled so quickly unless they all had showers and flushed the toilet hundreds of times. They took the lid off and sent me a picture to show me it was full......crazy

Are you sure it was pumped? Was anyone home when they were there?

Had 3 people here and one guy said there might be a broken pipe which is why the contents of the tank are not making it to the weeping tiles. . Gong to do some digging and, if that is not it, we have to get a ne system.

it was 600 gallons and I am assuming the renters, which there were probably a lot of, used the shower, toilet and washing dishes. It was pumped Friday and is still empty with no use therefore, nothing is seeping in.

millworkman, no, it didn't say all that, just giving my experiences which have been many. Once the septic field was overflowing (son was doing soccer slides thru it) and the well was hit by lightning. Septic guy said no hurry, you have no water to go into the field. Well guy said no worry, you don't have anywhere for the water to go!

But they were out there pretty darn quick and got us up and running! Great guys to have working for you.
