Could you post a pic of the brackets you are thinking of? I would not use shutters. Beautiful house.

Your house is more country than craftsman where you often see brackets.

What are you showing with the first picture?

Will you be removing the railing and changing the posts? Buying a new dront door?

what's wrong w/the house as is? what are these brackets you speak of?? perhaps showing a pic of what you want would be helpful

similar to this house I was going to put 3 brackets in garage gable as well as the gable on other end of house. here is example of shutter I was just putting on gable with window. not getting new door but changing hardware and painting (not sure of color - suggestions). lastly don't think we can afford changing spindles on front porch, but if we can they would be simple straight posts most likely. appreciate any comments and ideas. thank you

I think your house looks beautiful as it is. I wouldn't add anything more to it.

nice comment. due to hail and damage we just changed siding, etc. went from yellow to slate grey. big change so everything looks so different

I think three brackets on both sides would look wonderful. With the nice framing you have around the windows, you don't need shutters. Darling house!
