blue gray painted kitchen cabinets

hi, I have painted my cabinets dark blue gray, but I'm not I love it. would like to lighten it up some. thinking more of a warm gray
looking for suggestions on color... right now this is outer space by SW.. oh and a suggestion for a white for the upper cabinets. they are a bit warm for the tile colors.. the first two pictures are taken at night.. second 2 during the daylight hours.

Forgot to add that to me it's the tan wall paint that may be jarring in the same space as the marble and cool colors.

I think it actually looks great! What you might need to tie it together are some white handles on the blue part.

Beautiful job on your cabinets. I would paint your walls a light gray, your ceiling white, and add some stainless pulls on your cabinets!

Paint the top cabinets the same as the lower, find a complimentary paint color for wall.

Man, that's a lot of work to end up dissatisfied in the end. Personally, I think it looks great. Some really fantastic hardware might make you change your mind. Check out the knob selection at Anthropologie. They have the best knobs anywhere.

it does look great, and more importantly, the backsplash is matching the cabinets now. no guarantee that will be true after you choose a new color!

Not sure what floor tile you've gone with, but this is showing what a dark cherry floor would look like, the cabinets with a lot less color in the choice of cabinet lowers and the uppers in soft dove gray, walls in a very very light gray. You will still need some warmth, thus the floor.

If you're worried about it going too "dead" there are a lot of things you can do with accessories to keep it happy, accents of orange, red, green, etc..

I love your cabinet color choice! I agree about changing the wall color on top before messing with cabinet painting. Is your white crown moulding significantly brighter white than your upper cabinets? It appears to be slightly brighter but the beige color maybe making it more of a bright white than it really is.

Match the walls to the upper cabinets. A much darker blue would work much better in relation to your beautiful floor. Right now, the cabinets and floor are fighting.

Thank you guys for the ideas. I am working on the hardware and definitely have to paint the room... it needs it.

Try changing the wall color, adding hardware to the cabinets, and if in the budget getting all stainless steel appliances. All of that combined should help a lot.
