The addition of a craftsman porch would not make the whole house look craftsman unless you changed the dormers to shed dormers.Why not take a different approach?

Historic capes had neither porches nor dormers. (google image "historic cape cod house" in quotation marks). But old houses, including capes, underwent interesting changes through the centuries, acquiring details and variations from a variety of periods. As the homes of plain folk, the updates and alterations tended to be simple in design no matter what the period of the alteration.

Your present porch, interrupting the house eaves as it does, and with its own eaves mismatched in height to the house eaves, is pretty horrible.

A new porch with a roof that fits entirely under the house eaves (and spreads as wide as you want) would be in keeping with the tradition this house strives for. You will get good results if you stay with simple design. But avoid toothpick posts, because the visual weight of the oversized dormers requires some umph.
