We have a small laundry room that needs storage. We currently have the W/D up on a pedestal that runs the width of the room (see pic). Other than that it has nothing, and from the pic you can guess we need storage!

Wishes:

1. Drying racks. Thinking accordion/pull out style on the right side.

2. Storage above W/D. They are 27" deep, so the cabinets would have to be 24" deep I'd think. But then half the stuff would get lost forever in the back of the cabinets. But 18" deep would be hard to reach. Any creative ideas?

3. Shallow storage on the right side of the room. Thinking a shallow corner cabinet with a small countertop.

4. To use the space left over width-wise. The W/D leave about 9" of space on the side. I want to use it otherwise it will be a catch all. Maybe drawers running from pedestal to upper cabinets? Or a pull out pantry type drawer?

All ideas welcome.
