to make sure it fits within the studs, what are the rough-in measurements?

    The manufacturers instructions say to cut out the wall 14.25 inches wide x 46.25 inches high. This should fit between wood studs 16 on center. The interior (inside) dimensions of the unit are 13.25 inches wide x 5.375 inches deep x approximately 43.75 inches high. We hope this helps.
