Congrats Suzie. Yeah,a flower must have fused. I haven't got a double, but I get them with odd lumps. For me,there is no long run of hot summer...it can be hot..but up and down and mostly moderate.

Glad it tasted good! How old is the tree?

I'm not sure how old the tree is, but we bought it 3 years ago from a nursery and planted it. This is its first year to bear. It has a lot of new growth, so maybe next year it will be more established.

I just planted mine a while ago (nov of 2016 after looking at images) and now am just trying to encourage as much growth as possible. I can't wait to have mangoes in a couple years.

As the tree gets larger Suzie..so will the fruits. Eventually,the size of the market sized Manila's or Yellow Autalfo's.
