Architectural Shade Plants?

I'm looking for some sculptural plants to plant in a long, narrow bed (about 20" deep, 20ft long) along the east side of my house (Canada zone 5b, Toronto). Being on the east side, the bed is in shade most of the day, starting by mid morning.

I am looking for a perennial that has great, strong, architectural lines to plant along the length of the bed. It will be the only species in that bed to create a modern, minimalist, repetitive look. I like the idea of something like a Blue Fescue, or even a Yucca, but it has to be shade tolerant, and foliage is preferred over flowers. Thanks!
