We blew out the walls around this tiny kitchen and moved it closer to natural light. The load-bearing walls were replaced with columns and beams which made it hard to place upper cabinets and appliances. You wouldn't believe how many contractors were scared off by putting a cooktop underneath a window! We applaud this client's desire for bold colors and eclectic finishes. This project was featured in a national publication last month, the Vintage Issue of Cottage Journal (our first). They were intrigued of our use for a barn door to hide the pantry, microwave, and stowaway island. We're very proud because it is not modern like the other jobs we do but still clean-lined.
