Not at all!! They are highly recommended for a fall crop. If planted now, they will mature in a few months, will tolerate frosts and even produce a sweeter root with some colder weather. In many cases, they can be left in the ground through winter and you can harvest as you need them.

Is it basically just when the hottest part of the summer subsides and greens (e.g. sorrel) start to grow again that you want to plant them?
