Is anyone else thinking this could be Dream Queen, Dream Weaver or Thunderbolt. All 3 are extremely similar.

I know it did have a tag with the picture but......I can't find It anywhere! I always keep them, but this tag got lost in a shopping shuffle! There is a sticker on the side of the pot that says "Magic Island." I will go back to where I believe I bought it and hopefully still find one to compare it to. Many places are clearing out. Popmama I did not intend to purchase a plant that day, however when I saw this one I couldn't resist. I will post if I find out.

Here's my Dream Queen from two years ago.

Oh joy my friends! I grabbed my Grendel's and Shadrack Hosta Encyclopedia and I opened to a page randomly and there was the hosta tag with the picture! The name of this hosta is "Sunset Grooves." It is a planting lily variety. The tag says "it has excellent substance and holds up all summer. It has heavily puckered leaves and near white flowers. Size 12-16' H x 20-24' W. Tolerates partial sun.

Well there goes another one added to my list!

It might be Forbidden Fruit the tetraploid Orange Marmalade.

It sure looks exactly like my "Pocket full of sunshine"... Which is a sport of Rainforest Sunrise, as is " Sunset Grooves".

With all the tc labs naming their own discovered sports, it probably happens that the same sport has two different names. The only way to tell would be to grow them both under same circumstances for several years to see size and ultimate leaf shape. New intros are often registered after only 2or 3 years, and we all know how much a hosta can change by the time it is 5 years plus.

Have both, and they seems to be fairly similar, but both are new...will keep in mind to compare. They are darlings.
