I need to wire a 12v, 1/2HP water pump (similar to an aquatic pump) to turn on automatically via toggle switch and/or motion sensor switch and upon sensing motion, pump for no more than 5-7 seconds. The pump needs to remain on for the 5-7 seconds even though the toggle switch or motion sensor is activated only for a moment. I can't figure out how to keep power to the pump for 5-7 seconds with a switch that is only triggered for a moment (<1 second). Any advice would be appreciated.
