Really , get a couple of ottomans instead of a big clunky reclining sofa or loveseat. That style would never work as one anyway, your head would be hanging off the back.

I totally agree with Patricia. Those reclining sofas are sooooooo ugly. A sofa with ottoman is more versatile anyway.

thank you both for your ideas... I agree that those reclining love seats are ugly! I'm just not sure what to do instead. we currently have a small rocker recliner in our living room that I use. then we have a regular couch and loveseat. It's too much for the room size. I think a loveseat and two chairs will look and fit a lot better. now in the evenings either my husband pulls a dining room chair up beside my recliner or we sit across the room from each other and one of us is constantly hopping up to show the other something. I'm not sure about an ottoman. I have a bad back and hip so a recliner is very relaxing for me to sit in. any suggestions??

that's not a bad looking one... probably more modern then I would hope for. I have sat in these yellow chairs from ikea and really loved them. I had been thinking them with what ever love seat I found

reclining chairs are always better than reclining sofas, i don]t know why just is that way.
