UGH this kitchen...plz don't scream

Hop on we are about to time warp back to 1958. Great house, but it was a complete redo for every room. Finally the time has arrived to tackle this horrid kitchen. Agonizing between two looks, both work with rest of the house.

Tearing out wall between kitchen and dining to bring in more light but would like to keep each space separate. We will be doing rugged beamed ceiling regardless. Added a pic of exact divided light interior windows that I will use with beams

Love the juxtaposition of old world and modern

I think the cement tile makes the room. And the white balances black.

I think you should keep it the way it is and just charge people to tour it lol

I don't like any of the options. I really love the picture that you put to show the interior windows combined with the beams. In the first picture there are too many beams which makes it look small. I also don't like the tile flooring. In the second picture I find the floor too busy. This is maybe also an option, because it shows how natural wood is combined with a modern kitchen. I like the combination of the wood, the grey wall (concrete like) and the white kitchen.

I think your kitchen is a blessing in disguise. You have nothing worth keeping. There are no qualms of guilt, "But the countertop is real stone. The appliances are only halfway through their usefulness."
