Design Dilemma Entry Living Room

Formal living furniture layout

Looking for furniture layout options for a large formal living area right off the front door. Would like to create a natural flow and walkway without blocking windows/views. Feedback on walking in the front door and seeing the back of a couch - considering two couches facing each other - perpendicular to the fireplace.

While the photo is nice, can you post a room layout so there i perspective to the other rooms and also the size of the room you are intending to decorate. BTW cute dog.

I'd guess I would put a sofa table in front of the back of the sofa, with a tall lamp to set off the entry space. That would be the first thing you see when you open the front door. Perhaps placement of the conversation area near to the fireplace would give you a clear path to the right. That might be a start.

Let the sofa face the fireplace. Place a pair of chairs and a table to the right and the left. Use floor and or table lamps to create welcoming, flattering light.
